Capabilities
Custom Parts, Start to Finish
We design and make custom parts that are fit for purpose: new parts, improvements to existing ones, and replacements for parts that are hard to find, slow to get, or no longer made. From 3D scanning and CAD through prototyping, validation, and production, with no minimum order quantity.
Services
Every project starts with understanding what the part has to do and what you need from it. Whether it’s a new part, an improvement to an existing one, or a worn part you can’t get from the OEM because it’s out of stock, discontinued, or stuck on a long lead time, the goal is the same: a part that is fit for purpose.
No minimum order quantity. One-off parts or batches.
Free Part Evaluation
Send photos, measurements, drawings, or a CAD file, or just describe the problem. We’ll tell you whether the part is a realistic candidate for 3D printing, machining, or a combination of the two, what information we would need from you, and what the job would involve. The first evaluation is free.
3D Scanning and Reverse Engineering
If you have the original part, even worn or broken, we capture its shape with 3D scanning and direct measurement and rebuild it as a CAD model. Critical features such as bores, threads, and mating faces are measured by hand rather than taken from the scan. Worn or damaged areas are rebuilt from the surrounding geometry and from how the part fits in its assembly.
CAD Modeling and Drawings
3D models and manufacturing drawings made from your sketches, measurements, photos with dimensions, or existing drawings. If the original part is lost, a replacement can often be modeled from the parts it mates with and the space it has to fit into. Available on its own or as part of a project.
Engineering and Design
Design of new custom parts and improvements to existing ones: choosing the material, setting tolerances, and checking that the part can handle its loads, temperatures, and chemical exposure. When a part keeps failing, we look at how it failed and change the design or material to address the cause.
Prototyping and Fit Checks
A first part is made so it can be checked on the actual equipment for fit and function. Adjustments are made based on how it fits and performs, and the design is confirmed before more parts are produced.
Production
Parts are 3D printed (FFF) in engineering-grade materials, one at a time or in small batches, with no minimum order and no tooling costs. Lead time depends on the part size, the material, and the quantity.
Machining
In-house machining for turned and milled features. Printed parts are machined where a feature needs a precise fit, such as bores, shaft fits, sealing faces, and threads, and complete parts can be machined from metal or engineering plastics. Combining machining with 3D printing lets each feature be made by the process that suits it best.
Engineering Materials
We match the material to the part’s actual operating conditions (chemical exposure, temperature, mechanical load) instead of defaulting to one material for everything.
The materials below are examples only. We adapt the material choice to suit each application’s requirements.
High-Strength Engineering Polymers
Carbon and glass fiber reinforced nylons combine light weight with high rigidity, dimensional stability, and strong mechanical performance. Polycarbonate adds toughness and impact resistance.
Example materials: PA-CF, PA-GF, PPA-CF, PC
Typical applications:
- Structural brackets
- Impellers
- Automation components
- Mechanical supports
Chemical-Resistant Polymers
Polypropylene and polyphenylene sulfide grades are used where corrosion resistance, chemical exposure, and elevated operating temperatures drive the design.
Example materials: PP, PP-CF, PPS-CF, PPS-GF
Typical applications:
- Pump casings
- Mixer and pump impellers
- Fluid manifolds
- Custom containers and brackets
- Chemical- and heat-resistant parts
Honest Project Evaluation
Have a part or a problem in mind? Send a few photos or drawings and tell us what the part needs to do. The first evaluation is free, and we’ll give you a straight answer on whether it’s a good fit. We’d rather understand your needs and build a working relationship than just quote a part.
